If you haven’t done so already, mark your calendars now for the much-anticipated return of Veg Expo, Canada’s premiere vegan and vegetarian event, taking place for one day only in Vancouver, BC on May 27, 2018.

Presented by Choices Markets, the event has become more of a celebration than a trade show, with a spirit that is welcoming and inclusive – and not just for vegetarians or vegans either. Family-friendly and fun for all ages, Veg Expo offers a chance for people at any stage in their plant-based journey to experience firsthand the latest trends and flavours in sustainably-sourced foods, health products, and much more.

This year, the Vancouver Convention Centre West (1055 Canada Place) is expected to again smash attendance records for a one-day event, anticipating more than 15,000 attendees. Pro tip: in-demand products and samples sell out fast, so it’s worthwhile to arrive early.

Veg Expo is where you can enjoy free samples and giveaways, experience cooking demos from leading local chefs, and be inspired by a community that is focused on sharing the latest and best in upgraded living.

The website currently lists more than 115 local and international exhibitors, with many more to be announced in the coming weeks.

The line-up of this year’s confirmed speakers is incredible and not-to-be-missed. For the 2018 edition, the Expo will welcome Kip Andersen, the writer and documentary producer behind the groundbreaking films Cowspiracy and What the Health (which we’ve already devoured on Netflix), Dominick Thompson, one of the most recognized and inspiring plant-based athletes, and founder of NYC-based clothing company, Crazies and Weirdos, along with Cathline James, founder and CEO of Richmond, BC’s Wise Bites Collections Inc., and Jevranne Martel, Canada Outreach Coordinator for Vegan Outreach, which teaches students and communities how to compassionately help end the suffering of farmed animals. More speakers are set to be announced soon.

Veg Expo 2018 is presented by Choices Markets, and is sponsored by Vegan Supply and Yam Chops, in partnership with Ben & Jerry’s, Cartems Donuterie, Dogg, Herbaland, Quesava Kitchen and Pure Leaf.

The Planter’s Guide is one of this year’s proud media sponsors.
